Colonel Bill Chesshyre, Trustee


Col. Bill Chesshyre served for 33 years in the British Army and then became Clerk to two Livery Companies in the City of London; first the Painter-Stainers' Company and then the Gunmakers' Company. He is now retired.

Educated at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, and Trinity College, Cambridge, he was commissioned into the Corps of Royal Engineers and served extensively with the Brigade of Gurkhas in Malaysia, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. Bill is married to a Nepali lady, Bimala, who was a nurse in the Queen’s Army and they visit her family home in Nepal annually.
